Alejandro Marroquin Gallardo of Cotulla Texas passed onto the hands of the Lord on December 16, 2014 after a brief illness from cancer at the age of 81. He was born in Cotulla, to Leon and Rita Gonzales.
Mr. Gallardo is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Rita Gonzales; adoptive parents, Jesus and Angelita Gallardo and brother, Cruz Gonzales.
Mr. Gallardo is survived by his sisters, Frances Bazan Antuna of San Antonio, Texas, Rosie G. Esquivel of San Antonio, Texas and Vicenta Garza of Laredo, Texas; brothers, Damacio Gonzalez of Racine, Wisconsin and Nino Gonzales of Racine, Wisconsin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews from San Antonio, Texas; Ponte Vedra, Florida; Racine, Wisconsin and Laredo, Texas.
Alex, as a teenager, began working at a service station in Cotulla and in time managed and operated gasoline service stations in San Antonio and Cotulla. In his heydays he was an oil rigger with an oil company in Oklahoma. He was a full time employee with Industrial Lubricants, San Antonio. He retired in 2002 and loved his "happy go Lucky" life style, always displayed a big smile and a cold beer! He'll be missed by everyone.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2014 at Peters Funeral Home from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm with a Rosary to be held at 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11:00 am.
