Alma O. Lopez,56, of Willmar, Minnesota, lost her battle to cancer on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Rice Hospital in Willmar, Minnesota.
Alma Lopez was born to Jose and Josephine (Rodriguez) Lopez on November 8, 1958, in Laredo, Texas. She attended school in Cotulla, Texas where she grew up. She later moved to Willmar, Minnesota where she raised her family and worked in the fields. Alma was a proud mother of seven children and was blessed with grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she was devoted to. She also enjoyed fishing, reading and watching movies.
Ms. Lopez is preceded in death by her grandparents; daughter, Tanya Gomez and twin infant granddaughters, Rose and Daisy Gomez.
Ms. Lopez is survived by her children, Lee, Ricardo, Elijah (Nicole), Erica, Joel, Ismael (Danielle) and Angelica; 20 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; her parents and siblings, Juan Ramon (Darla), Jose Feliz (Letty), Lori (Jose), Josie (Abel), Gerardo Lopez, Esmeralda Limon and Juan Guevara.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 at Peters Funeral Home from 5:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00p.m. Services will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Peters Funeral Home at 9:30a.m. Interment will follow at the Encinal Cemetery.
