Antonio P.
Morin
Dec 9, 1937 — Jan 4, 2021
Cotulla
ANTONIO P. MORIN, aka Tonio or Tony, passed away on January 4, 2021 at the age of 83. He was born in Cotulla, Tx to Emilio and Tomasa Perez Morin.
Tony is preceded in death by his parents, two younger brothers and sisters and his oldest sister, Matilde Del Toro.
Tony is survived by a younger brother, Raul P. Morin (Lupe G. Morin) from Round Rock, Tx and two younger sisters, Juanita M. Cruz (Natividad Cruz, Jr), also from Round Rock, and Magdalena M. Walker (Mark) from Savannah, Ga. He is also survived by an older aunt, Librada Perez, from Cotulla, Tx.
Tony also left behind 14 nephews and nieces and several grandnephews and niece. Each one can claim that he was their favorite uncle. He was always happy to see them when they visited him.
He transitioned to Heaven while he was at the Baptist Hospital in San Antonio due to COVID-19 complications. He lived at the Las Palmas Nursing Home in Cotulla since October 26 th of 2020. During his stay at both places, everyone was amazed at how much strength he still had. He was a hard worker, a rancher for Dr. C.P. Myers, where he worked alongside his uncle, Francisco (Frank) Jaimes, for many years, building corrals and learning the trade. He then started working at the Cotulla Stockyards and stayed there for 19 years. He was very proud of his job and gave it his all. He made many friends there and was admired for his kindness and respect toward everyone. He loved hanging out with his cousin Rogelio Gonzalez Tony was always excited to see friends at the local restaurants and greeted them as if they had not seen each other in years, yet they saw each other the day before. He was always proud to introduce his family members to his friends. He had an amazingly caring heart, and he spent his free time looking after others around him without a single complaint, in particular, his 93-year-old beloved aunt Librada. Tony was a God-fearing man and did not care to adopt bad habits. He lived a clean and honest life, as he would say. He was an exemplary man. Oh, how very much we will all miss Tony.
