Belinda Florita Carrillo passed away on October 27, at the age of 64. Belinda was born in Cotulla Texas in 1955 to Guadalupe and Julia Rodriguez. She was the youngest of 7 children. She lived in Blue Island, Illinois and Uvalde, Texas. Belinda was an elementary school teacher and taught within the Uvalde Independent School District for over 15 years.  Additionally, she taught in Carrizo Springs before moving back to Cotulla Texas. Here she taught 2nd grade at Ramirez–Burks Elementary School.

Belinda was truly an inspiring role model for her students, children, grandchildren and those who knew her. She overcame many of life's hardships and continued to accomplish so much. She completed her Bachelor's Degree in 1998 at the age of 43. Belinda lost her courageous battle with breast cancer but gained a new life in heaven with Jesus Christ!

Belinda is survived by her children Andrea Carrillo, Lydia Chebino, Robert Carrillo III, and her seven grandchildren, Roxxo, Harly, Barrett, Abigail, Thomas, Azura, and Korben.

A celebration of Belinda's life will be held at Peters Funeral Home in Cotulla, Texas at 4:00pm to 7:00pm, on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. There will also be a mass for Belinda the following morning at 10:00am on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cotulla, Texas.
