Carla Rodriguez Niavez, wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Carla Niavez passed surrounded with love at the age of 61 on January 15, 2024.

Carla was born on December 28, 1962, in Cotulla, Texas to parents, Joel and Elena Rodriguez. She graduated from Cotulla High School in 1981 married to the sole love of her life, Noel Rene Niavez. Carla and Noel shared 43 years of marriage, creating a family with their two daughters, son and five grandchildren.

Carla's all time favorite activity was spending time with her husband. They enjoyed fishing, nurturing animals and creating memories at the ranch. Carla excelled at photography and had a keen sense of music.

Carla was a pillar of strength, and compassionate morals. She projected a selfless ambition for providing for the youth of her community and ethical and honest political character.

Carla is survived by her mother, Elena Rodriguez; husband, Noel Niavez; brother, Joel Rodriguez Jr.; daughters, Noelee Niavez (Rafael Sanchez), Catrina Torres (Frank Torres Jr.); son, Oscar Rene Niavez and her grandchildren, Frank James Torres III, Cyson Noah Torres, Jasiah Noel Torres, Kennedi Noelle Sanchez, and Luka Rafael Sanchez.

Carla enjoyed wildflowers; guests are welcome to bring wildflowers of all colors. Flowers may be sent to Peters Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Cotulla, TX. 78014. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024, at Peters Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Cotulla East Cemetery.
