Charles Lynn "Chuck" Carroll Jr., a lifelong resident of Dilley, TX, died on January 4, 2013. He was born on January 24, 1948 to Charles Lynn Carroll Sr. and Marjorie Neal Carroll. He is preceded in death by both parents. He is survived by sisters, Lynda (Al) Sanders and Kay (James) Moeller; and brothers, Mike Carroll and Andy Carroll. He is also survived by his nephew, William (Paula) Moeller; and nieces, Kristine (Luther) Edwards and Jessica (Leonard) Leyendecker. Chuck was also great grand uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

Chuck, as he was known, was raised on a farm/ranch in Covey Chapel (10 miles west of Dilley). He loved spending hours reminiscing on stories of his younger days and sharing them with the younger generations. In Chuck's early years, he was employed at Moffett's farm store where he assembled and delivered farm equipment. He also worked with Medina Electric Company for a period of time. He returned to his first love of farming until health issues caused him to retire. He stayed active in civic duties with the Dilley Volunteer Fire Department and youth sports associations until his health wouldn't allow him to continue his involvement.

Pallbearers are Ray Kallio, William Moeller, Luther Edwards, Sean Carroll, Cody Carroll, Paul Brown Jr., Inez Eguia, and Leonard Leyendecker. Honorary Pallbearers: Dilley High School Class of '67 and the Dilley Volunteer Fire Department. In Lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Mary's Cemetery Fund at PO Box 640, Dilley, TX 78017.

Visitations will be held at Peters Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 5:00-9:00pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at St. Mary's Chapel, 10 miles west of Dilley, TX on Hwy 85, at 11:00am. All attendees are to meet at the chapel.
