Corina Perez Patterson passed away on January 3, 2023, at the age of 89. She was born on December 10, 1933, to Sylvestre and Refugia Perez.

Corina is preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Joe Patterson, her parents and numerous brothers and sisters.

Raised in Encinal, Texas, Corina had a very wonderful life. After marrying her high school sweetheart, Corina and Joe settled in Cotulla and raised their family. They were very active in the Catholic Church and Corina volunteered her time with CCD classes. Corina also helped Joe as a partner in their various business endeavors and later in life was a valued employee for 25 years at her son's insurance agency. Corina enjoyed traveling, being involved with religious functions, talking on the phone with her friends and family, and spending time with her beloved children and grandchildren.

Corina is survived by her children, Jose Patterson Jr. and his wife Laura, Jimmy Patterson and his wife Linda, Jesse Patterson and his wife Miroslava, Jerry Patterson and his wife Mary, Cindy Patterson Hernandez and her husband Paul and Cynthia Patterson-Lopez and her husband Adrian; grandchildren, Rudy (Audrey) Gonzalez, Erica Patterson, Jimmy Patterson II, Haydee (Nathan) Ramos, Jerry Patterson Jr., Jacob Patterson, Joshua Patterson, Patricia Lopez and Carolina Lopez; great-grandchildren, Auralee Rey Gonzalez and Abby Marie Ramos; sister Alicia G. Perez, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Peters Funeral Home from 5:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00p.m. Services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 2:00p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Cotulla East Cemetery.
