July 26, 1956 - January 25, 2013

Daniel Flores of Cotulla passed away January 25, 2013 at the age of 56. He was born on July 26, 1956 to Macario and Candelaria Flores Jr.

Mr. Flores is preceded in death by his mother, Candelaria V. Flores; and siblings, Macario Flores, III, Edelina Rodriguez, and Martha Garcia.

Mr. Flores is survived by his father, Macario Flores, Jr.; wife, Gloria A. Flores; sons, Ricardo (Maria Isabel) Ayala, Daniel Flores, Jr., and Joel Flores; grandchildren, Ricky Ayala, Jr., Albert Ayala, and Hilario Ayala; siblings, Paul (Florida) Flores, Odilia (Bruno) Gomez, and David Flores. He was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Mr. Flores spent 17 years working with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a correctional officer and five years with the LaSalle County Sheriff's Department as a dispatcher. His name was known locally for his hard work, dedication, and kindness. Daniel was a beloved friend and family member, and he will be dearly missed.

Visitations will be held Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Peters Funeral Home from 4-9 pm with a rosary at 7:00pm.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 28, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cotulla, TX at 9:30 am.

Interment will follow at the Cristo Rey Cemetery.
