David Scott Reese of Encinal, TX passed peacefully at his home on April 26 ,2025 surrounded by loved ones.  Scott was born in Freer, Texas on November 28,1958 to Homer and Carmen Reese.

Scott is survived by his 3 children Jacob and Jackie Reese of Encinal, Sara and Wyatt Howell of La Pryor and Devlin of Encinal. He has five beautiful granddaughters and a sweet newborn grandson. He is proceeded in death by his loving wife of 32 years, Diana. His parents Homer and Carmen and his two siblings Marian Sue Parrish and John Reese.

Scott lived a beautiful life on the family ranch in Encinal doing exactly what he loved.  He and Diana built a peaceful home where everyone was always welcome.  He will be extremely missed because to know Scott was to love him.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Peters Funeral Home from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 11:00a.m. at the First Church of Cotulla.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that a donation be made to the LaSalle County Booster Club (LaSalle County Junior Livestock Show, PO Box 34, Cotulla, TX. 78014), where Scott served on the board for many years helping the youth of the county.
