David Lee Schulze of Pflugerville, TX passed away on June 1, 2013 at the age of 83. He was born on November 21, 1929 to John and Mabel Schulze of Woodward, TX.

David is preceded in death by his sister, Edith Deck and niece, Debbie Schulze.

David attended Southwestern University and later graduated from Texas A&I. He continued his career as a coach and educator in science for 29 years. Upon receiving his Master's degree from Sul Ross University, he became a Principal. In addition, David was a volunteer for the EMS and Fire Department, owned and operated a pest control business, was a member of the Lion's Club in Cotulla and Pearsall, and was a Master Mason for over 50 years. His greatest love was his role as a father.

David is survived by his children, Holly Stephens & husband Johnny of Allen, TX and Jason Schulze & partner Javier Lopez, Jr. of Pflugerville, TX; grandchildren, Alice Lorraine Kruger and John Cole Stephens; sister, Juanita Morrel and twin brother, John Paul Schulze, M.D. & wife Sylvia. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitations will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 10:00 am to noon at Peters Funeral Home in Cotulla. A graveside service will follow at the Cotulla West Cemetery.

A reception will be held immediately following the burial at the First United Methodist Church in Cotulla.
