January 4, 1926 - September 16, 2013

Elzie Tenery Crisp, age 87, of Artesia Wells, died Monday, September 16, 2013 in San Antonio. She was born on January 4, 1926 in Encinal, Texas to George and Willie Alice (Martin) Tenery.

Ms. Crisp is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willard Crisp; sons, Wayne Crisp, Troy Gene Crisp, Bill Crisp and Roland Crisp; siblings, John Tenery, Bud Tenery, Bill Tenery, Dalton Tenery, Gene Tenery, Stella Reeves, Kizzie Brown and Jessie Flow DuBose as well as three grandchildren.

Ms. Crisp is survived by her sons, Joe (Linda) Crisp of Artesia Wells and Claud (Gail) Crisp of Canyon Lake; sister, Doris Kruger of Pearsall, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, two step-great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers included: Larry Crisp, Kenneth Crisp, Joseph Crisp II, Russell Crisp, Robert Fox and Tyler Crisp.

Visitation will be held  at Peters Funeral Home on Thursday, September 19, 2013  from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Services will be held at Peters Funeral Home on Friday, September 20, 2013 at 10:00 am.
