Emma F. Ruiz passed away on May 30, 2025, at the age of 96. She was born on June 25, 1928, to Elvira and Manuel Farias Sr.

Mrs. Ruiz is preceded in death by her husband, Filiberto Sr.; daughter, Mirta Nunez; her parents and her siblings, Minerva Farias, Ercilia Canela, Maria Luisa Adams and Juan Farias.

Mrs. Ruiz is survived by her children, Elvira (Antonio) De La Rosa, Elsa Ruiz (Sandra Luna), and Beto Ruiz Jr. (JoAnne Ramirez); grandchildren, Michelle (Freddie) Luna, Joey (Julie) Ruiz, Denise Longoria, Jason (Simona) Nunez, Crystal Linda Ruiz (Fraylan Garcia), Alyssa Longoria, Baeta Ruiz, Jonay Milagro Ruiz and her siblings, Manuel (Norma) Farias Jr., Eluterio (Rose) Farias and Jesus (Estella†) Farias. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Peters Funeral Home from 5:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 10:00a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Cotulla East Cemetery.
