Ernesto Garcia of Cotulla passed away on July 3, 2014 at the age of 77. He was born in Cotulla on March 29, 1937 to Edelmiro and Locaclia Flores Garcia.

Mr. Garcia is preceded in death by his parents and spouse Elida Gonzalez Garcia and son Ernesto Garcia Jr.

Mr. Garcia is survived by his daughter Elsa Ayala (Raul), sisters; Elva Maldonado (Angel†), Enedelia Cabajal (Cruz), Elia Perez (Raul†), Erasmo Garcia, Edilia Garcia (Noe) and daughter-in-law Myrta Garcia.  He was also survived by his grandchildren Ralph Ayala (Patricia), Roel Ayala, Ernesto Garcia III, Roberta Faith Garcia and great-grandchildren Brock Ayala and Brooke Ayala along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitations for Mr. Garcia were held on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Peters Funeral Home from 2:00 - 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm.

Funeral Services were held on Monday, July 7, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cotulla at 9:30 am. Interment followed at the Cotulla West Cemetery.
