Fernando Ruiz passed away on August 4, 2021, at the age of 53. He was born on March 24, 1968 to Salome and Elvira Ruiz.

Mr. Ruiz is preceded in death by his mother.

Mr. Ruiz is survived by his father, Salome Ruiz; children, Fernando Ruiz II, Danelli M. Ruiz, Amanda Rios, Blanca Rios, Carla Rios, Damian Ortiz, and Nathaniel Ortiz; siblings, Juan Eugenio (Sylvia) Ruiz, Oralia (Freddy) Gonzalez, Salome Ruiz Jr., Criselda (Fernando) Gonzalez, Jesse (Laura) Ruiz, and Rachel (Michael) Pena; life partner, Rachel Rodriguez and mother to his daughter, Matilda Z. Rios. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021, at Peters Funeral Home from 8:00a.m. to 11:00a.m. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021, at 11:00a.m. at Peters Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Cotulla East Cemetery.
