Fidel Romero Jr., of Cotulla, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025, at the age of 67. He was born on March 13, 1958, to Fidel G. Romero Sr. and Enemencia S. Romero.
Fidel was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and a wonderful brother, uncle, and friend. His life was rooted in family, faith, and a deep sense of responsibility to those he loved. Fidel carried a quiet strength, steady wisdom, and a heart full of kindness that left a lasting imprint on all who knew him. Whether offering advice, sharing a warm laugh, or simply being present, he had a gift for making people feel loved and supported.
In addition to his love for his family, Fidel had a lifelong passion for classic cars, and he often referred to his 1967 Chevelle as the second love of his life.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Raquel Romero; his children, Odessa Romero-Ramon (Horacio Ramon), Fidel Romero III (Beronica Romero), and Esiquiel Romero (Deena Romero); his cherished grandchildren Aaron X. Romero, Ariana R. Romero, Zeke Romero Jr., Zachary Romero, Zoe Romero, Leala Romero, Kassidy Romero, Pierce Ramirez, and Aaron Ramirez; and his great-grandson, Dominic, who were the joy of his life. He also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends.
Fidel was preceded in death by his parents, Fidel G. Romero Sr. and Enemencia S. Romero.
Though his earthly journey has ended, Fidel's legacy of love, strength, and devotion lives on in the hearts of his family and all who were fortunate to know him.
A Memorial Service and Rosary will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 306 Altito St. at 7:00p.m. Inurnment will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 9:00a.m. at the Cristo Rey Cemetery.
