Fleta Mae Keck passed away on May 17, 2016, at the age of 93. She was born on April 28, 1923 to Alton David and Ollie Birdie Bates.
Fleta moved to Cotulla when she was 7 years old and lived here for 69 years. She graduated from Cotulla High School in 1940 and married Roy Randal Keck on February 6, 1943. In 1999, a year after her husband passed she moved to a retirement community in San Antonio, until her passing.
Ms. Keck is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Randal Keck and sister, Sharon K. Bates.
Ms. Keck is survived by her children, David Randal (Glenda) Keck of Garden Ridge, TX. and Janis (T.J.) Gilliam of George West, TX.; grandchildren, Amy (Jeff) Bowles of Shertz, TX., Justin (Shelley) Keck of La Vernia, TX., Nathan (Rachel) McClellan of Austin, TX. and Jeremiah (Amy) McClellan of Merritt Island, FL.; great grandchildren, Carter Keck, Avery Keck, Luke McClellan and sister, Betty June Rasco of Corpus Christi, TX. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016, at Peters Funeral Home from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 11:00a.m. at the Cotulla West Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the First United Methodist Church of Cotulla.
