"Mimi"

August 29, 1917 - July 10, 2014

Born to Zula Zon and Decatur Franklin Landrum in 1917. "Mimi" was a lifetime rancher in South Texas. She was active in community services for many years in Pearsall and Cotulla. One of her favorite organizations was Texas Youth Rodeo Association. She contributed many hours, time and money to further development of young cowgirls and cowboys. As a business woman, she had "Mimi's Sport Shops in Pearsall, Devine, and Cotulla. Her competitive side was often seen while playing dominos at Ruby's Lounge in Los Angeles, Texas. According to her, she never lost a game…..she was only "outplayed" and those times were few and far between!!

Mimi was preceded in death by two wonderful husbands, John E. Malone, and Roy Plocek. She will be laid to rest between the two of them.

She is survived by a daughter, Dr. Jo Ann Malone Coates-Musgrave and husband Philip C. "Cebe" Musgrave, five grandchildren, Dorothy Strong, and husband Allen, Bob Malone, and wife Laura Jane, Jeannie Bennett, and husband Richard, Paula Clarie Coates, John W. Coates II, and wife Holly, niece Dorothy Landrum and eight great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren The Family wishes to express their appreciation for the loving care given to Mimi by Bandera Rehabilitation and Health Care and River City Hospice
