On May 10, 2016, Gordon Royce Meyer passed this life peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Gordon was born in San Antonio, Texas on August 14, 1937. He was the first child by George Royce and Grace Meyer.
Gordon lead a full life as a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, Christian, patriot, entrepreneur, inventor, mentor, pilot, story teller, fisherman, hunter and family teacher.
Gordon is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bruce Meyer and Donald Meyer. He is survived by his wife of 59 ½ years Darlene T. Meyer and children, Jackie Meyer Ilse (Sam), Christopher Royce Meyer (Jackie), sisters, Elaine Mahan (Terry), Nancy Wurzbach (Keith), Robin Collett (Dave), five grandchildren, Mindy, Royce, Brandy, Christopher and Emily, five great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and longtime friends.
A celebration of life will be held at their family home in Millett, Texas on June 4, 2016 at 7:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Central Texas Children's Home, 13200 Crane Road, Buda, TX 78610 or Sunny Glenn Children's Home, 2385 West Expressway 83, San Benito, TX 78586 or a children's charity of your choice.
