Guadalupe Flores Vela of San Antonio, TX passed away on August 28, 2014 at the age of 84. She was born in Lubbock, TX on November 9, 1929 to Alberto and Antonio Alvarado Flores.

Mrs. Vela is preceded in death by her parents and son Juan Flores Vela.

She is survived by her daughters; Maria Margarita Vela, Maria Antonio (Saragosa) Flores, Myra Jean (Domingo) Contreras, sons; Ramon Vela Jr., Alfredo (Belinda) Vela, Michael Anthony (Amy) Vela and daughter-in-law Carolina Vela. She was also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitations for Mrs. Vela will be  held on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, 2014 at Peters Funeral Home from 5:00 - 9:00 pm with a rosary at 6:30 pm.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cotulla at 9:30 am. A Graveside Service will be followed at the Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio, TX at 1:00 pm.
