Hermelinda Vasquez of San Antonio, Texas, passed on to be with Christ on Thursday, March 31, 2016.
She was born May 21, 1936, in El Carmen, Nuevo Leon, to the late Julio and Julia Gonzalez. Loving and adored mother of Adriana (Gilbert) Silva, Juanita (Michael) Gardner and Veronica (Jeffrey) Haswell. Cherished grandmother of Anthony, Christopher, Jeffrey and Elijah. Dear sister of Adela Rodriquez, Irma Correa and of the late Vicente Gonzalez and late Valentine Gonzalez. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Enrique Vasquez. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, church and spending quality time with her family and friends. Hermelinda was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 3, 2016, from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 4411 Moana Dr., San Antonio, TX. 78218. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, April, 5, 2016 at 10:00a.m. at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church. There will be no procession, everyone is encouraged to meet at the church. Interment will follow at the Cristo Rey Cemetery in Cotulla, TX.
