November 7, 1938 - January 12, 2013

Humberto Rios Gonzalez, Sr. went to be with our Lord on Saturday, January 12, 2013. He was born on November 7, 1938 in Tayor, TX to Manuel and Melchora Gonzalez.

Humberto was a retired employee of the City of Cotulla. He was also a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cotulla where he served as an usher for many years and as a member of the Liga del Sagrado Corazon.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Reynaldo, Macario and Armando Gonzalez. Humberto is survived by his wife of 49 years, Francisca Pina Gonzalez; sons, Humberto R. (Esmeralda) Gonzalez, Jr. and Francisco Javier Gonzalez; daughters, Maria Teresa and Graciela Gonzalez; granddaughter, Victoria Rae Gonzalez; brother, Ramon (Gloria ) Gonzalez; sisters, Lilia Zamarripa, Emma Garza, Margarita Esparza, and Maria Luisa Gonzalez. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitations were held at Peters Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 from 4:00-9:00pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cotulla, TX at 10:30am.

Interment will follow at the Cotulla East Cemetery.
