Isabel Vela passed away on June 21, 2022, at the age of 88. She was born on December 5, 1933, to Seferino and Francisca Pena.

Mrs. Vela is preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe Vela; parents; son Alex Vela and daughter, Sylvia Ann Vela.

Mrs. Vela is survived by her children, Lupe Vela (Abby), Juanita Fleming, Samuel Vela (Rosa), Rebecca Garcia (Lauro) and Maria "Cookie" Solis (Jesus). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022, at Peters Funeral Home from 5:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at 10:00a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Cotulla East Cemetery.
