James Durwood Leifeste passed away on December 14, 2018 at the age of 93. He was born on August 13, 1925 to Erwin Charles and Ruby Irene Leifeste.

Mr. Leifeste is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold Leifeste and sister in law, Mary Leifeste.

Mr. Leifeste is survived by his loving wife, Lois C. Leifeste; children, Laura (Billy) Boatwright, James (Ken) Leifeste and Debbie Gohmert; grandchildren, Brandi (Douglas) Liere, Amanda (Ryan) Johnson, Brett (Lindsey) Boatwright, Shelly (Mark) Tufts, Shara (Aaron) Peace, Laci Leifeste, Jayce Leifeste, Leah (Layton) Herring and Lindsey (Jake) Keeton; great grandchildren, Tyler Liere, Logan Liere, Mason Liere, Dancie Johnson, Dason Johnson, Sadie Boatwright, Brett Boatwright, Kendall Herring, Taylon Herring, Ella Tuffs, Reid Tuffs, Hendrix Peace, Graham Peace and one on the way. He is also survived by his brother, Donald (JoAnn) Leifeste and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the First Baptist Church from 1:00p.m. to 2:30p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Church on, December 18, 2018 at 2:30p.m. Interment will follow at the Cotulla West Cemetery.
