Obituary

On Friday, November 27, 2020, Jesusita (Chita) Tellez, loving mother of seven children and friend of many, passed away at the age of 86 years and 10 months.  Jesusita was born on January 15, 1934, in Cotulla, Texas to Jesus Ayala and Maria De Los Santos Ayala.

On July 11, 1953, she married Ramon Ramirez Tellez. Chita had a passion for church and religious activities. She also loved to pass time with her sons and daughters and their families. Chita was admired not only by friends and family, but also by all who frequented her house and attended church functions with her. She was also an avid music lover and collected music of all kinds. She was known for her quick wit, her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit.

Chita was preceded in death by her brother Felix Ayala, her sister Maria Irma Rodriguez, her son David, and her husband Ramon.

She is survived by her six children; Oscar (Sylvia), Hilda (Diego), Ramon Jr., Elisa (Alex), Elvia (Lori), and Ester (Kinney) and by 13 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 2 great, great grandchildren.

Viewing and a rosary will be held at Peters Funeral Home on Thursday, December 3, 2020 from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Guadalupanas in Cotulla, Texas.
