John W. "Butch" Tripp III of Cotulla passed away on November 11, 2013 at the age of 71. He was born in Borger, TX on November 8, 1942 to John Wylie and Martha Tripp Jr.

Mr. Tripp served our country and was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and passed away on Veteran's Day. He was also a licensed minister who served in different churches.

Mr. Tripp is preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Tripp is survived by his wife, Donna L. Tripp; children, Teresa Dawn (Mark) Harrison and Jonathan Butler (Penny) Tripp; sister, Linda Jonnice (Arno) Thuesen and 8 grand-children, David Christopher Harrison, Alexander Scott Harrison, Benjamin Dawson Harrison, Samuel Reese Harrison, Cadence Alyceia Tripp, Melody Ann Tripp, Jonathan Kent Tripp and Harmony Alexis Tripp.

Services will be held at the First Baptist Church, 14022 Hwy 36, Needville, TX. on Saturday, November 16, 2013. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to the First Baptist Church Soddy Daisy and direct donations to the Life of Christ Pageant: First Baptist Church Soddy Daisy, P.O.
