Obituary

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry Salinas, who went to be with the Lord on September 2, 2026, at the age of 51.

Larry was born on February 23, 1975. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, family member, and friend whose presence brought love, laughter, and countless cherished memories to those who knew him.

The oilfield was more than just a career for Larry—it was a way of life. He was a hardworking man who knew the meaning of dedication, perseverance, and putting in an honest day’s work. The long hours, demanding work, and challenges of the oilfield were something Larry faced with strength and determination. He took pride in what he did and in the life he worked hard to provide for the people he loved.

Larry’s greatest treasures were the people and companions he loved. He leaves behind his beloved children, Larry Salinas Jr. and Star Aguilar, who will forever carry his love and memory in their hearts. He also leaves behind his cherished English bulldog, Bella, who was a faithful and loving companion and an important part of his life.

Larry is survived by his loving mother, Guadalupe Salinas, and his siblings: Ruby Salinas, Josie Salinas Soto, April Esparza, Sonia Esparza, and Luis Esparza.

He is also survived by his numerous beloved nieces and nephews: George Bernal, Noe Obregon, Brandon Obregon, Luis Felix Esparza, Abigail Esparza, Chelssy Garcia, Chasidy Garcia, Samantha Obregon, Elizabeth Obregon, Lorena Obregon, Oliver Rodriguez and Juan Julio Obregon. Each of them holds their own special memories of Larry, and his love and presence will remain a part of their lives forever.

Larry will be remembered as an oilfield man with a strong work ethic, and an unwavering love for his family. He touched many lives through his kindness, humor, hard work, and the memories he created with those around him.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Larry is now at peace and resting in the loving arms of the Lord. After a lifetime of hard work, he can finally lay down his tools, rest his weary hands, and enjoy eternal peace.
