Lois M. Collins Leifeste passed away on April 19, 2023 at the age of 91 in Cedar Park, TX. She was born on Oct. 15, 1931 in the community of O'Donnell in Dawson County, Texas. She was the only daughter of Laura Frances Hickson Collins and Francis Ballard Collins.

Lois is preceded in death by her husband, James D. Leifeste, her parents, and four brothers, Leroy, Elmo, Jake, and Lloyd Collins.

She is survived by her three children Laura (Billy) Boatwright of Cotulla, James Kenneth Leifeste of Cedar Park, and Deborah Gohmert of San Antonio; grandchildren, Brandi (Douglas) Liere, Amanda (Ryan) Johnson, Brett (Lindsey) Boatwright, Shelly (Mark) Tufts, Shara (Aaron) Peace, Laci (Nathan) Hayes, Jayce Leifeste, Leah (Layton) Herring, and Lindsey (Jake) Keeton; great grandchildren, Tyler, Logan, and Mason Liere, Dancie and Dason Johnson, Sadie, Brett Jr., and WyLee Boatwright, Ella and Reid Tufts, Hendrix and Graham Peace, Aiden and Riley Hayes, Kendall and Taylon Herring, Jamesyn Keeton and one on the way. She is also survived by her step-sister, Wilma Adams and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 25 at First Baptist Church Cotulla from 1:00 -2:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm followed by interment at Cotulla West Cemetery.
