On January 15, 2021, Louis G. Perez went to be with the Lord at the age of 74. He was born on February 22, 1946 in Harvey, IL. to Armando Perez and Maria De la luz Garza.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Armando Perez in 2005 and Maria De la luz Garza in 1994 and his brother, Raul Perez in 1991.

He is survived by his wife Olga Perez of Cotulla, TX.; brother, Armando Perez Jr. (Maria Perez); children, Alejandro (Rosalinda) Canales of Uvalde, TX., Martin Perez of Belvidere, IL., Irma Villarreal (Martin Ramos) of Cotulla, TX., Gabriel Perez of Belvidere, IL., Enrique Perez of Woodstock, IL., and Louis Perez Jr. (Janean Perez) of Marengo, IL. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Louis worked at Marengo Tool & Die for 48 years. He retired in 2016 where he then relocated with his wife to Cotulla, TX, his hometown. He loved and adored his wife unconditionally. They both enjoyed doing the simple things that meant so much. They had a love so pure for one another, you could feel it when you walked in the room. Louis loved his family so much. They meant the world to him. He had the best sense of humor and had the most contagious smile. He was always laughing and telling silly stories.

He enjoyed being outside working on projects and helping his neighbors. Louis also enjoyed watching sports; he would flip between channels to watch two games at once. Louis made friends anywhere he went. He would greet his neighbors every morning with "Hi my friend!" followed by a huge smile and a wave. Some of his hobbies included fishing, taking naps, eating snacks (his cookies) and drinking coffee all day.

Louis' Faith in the Lord was always strong and always believed. He was the best husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and son. He will be missed dearly.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Peters Funeral Home from 4:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00p.m. Inurnment will follow at a later date.
