Margarito P. Gomez of Cotulla passed away on May 26, 2014 at the age of 84. He was born in Cotulla on June 10, 1929 to Emeterio and Cristina Pena Gomez.

Mr. Gomez is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Modesta Ortiz and son, Oscar Gomez.

Mr. Gomez is survived by his life companion, Celestina DeLeon, sons, Mike (Erica) Gomez, Arturo Gomez, David DeLeon, and daughters Margot DeLeon (Jose Guevara), Irene (Ramiro) Osoria, Ann (Isaac) Aleman and Nancy Lopez.   He was also survived by his 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitations for Mr. Gomez will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Peters Funeral Home from 4:00 - 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cotulla at 9:30 am. Interment followed at the Old Cotulla Cemetery.
