Maria C. Garcia of Cotulla passed away on February 3, 2015, at the age of 90. She was born in Dilley, TX on April 8, 1924 to Mauricio and Maria Casillas.
Ms. Garcia is preceded in death by her husband, Baldomero Garcia; parents, Mauricio and Maria Casillas; children, baby Antonio Garcia, baby Baldomero Garcia and baby Juan Garcia; siblings, Florencia Arebalo, Hilaria Alejandro, Luis Casillas, Mauro Casillas, Gilberto Casillas and Cesario Casillas.
Ms. Garcia is survived by her children, Alicia G. Gonzalez and husband Leopoldo, Velma G. Garcia and husband Humberto, Janie Parras and husband Manuel, Juan Garcia and wife Patricia, Hector Garcia and wife Sylvia, Esmeralda G. Tamez, Baldomero Garcia Jr. and wife Grace and Yvonne G. Castillo and husband Amador. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Peters Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services were held on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment following at the Cotulla East Cemetery.
