Maria G (Chela) Flores, age 75, of Cotulla, Texas passed away Monday, February 17, 2020, at home. She was born September 3, 1944 in Hidalgo, Mexico to the late Enrique Flores and Elvira Arce Flores.

She is survived by husband, Martin Flores of Cotulla, daughters, Deyanira Flores of San Antonio, Sandra Friesenhahn of Cotulla, Gracie Flores Martinez (Richard) of San Antonio; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Friesenhahn of San Antonio, grandson Johnny Friesenhahn of Cotulla and 2 great-grandchildren Maximilian Antonio and Madilyn Leigh of San Antonio.

Chela was a beloved mom, who loved gardening, evening walks with her husband, star gazing and spending time with grandkids and greatgrandkids.

She is preceeded in death by sisters, America Garza (Armando) of Laredo and Angelica Flores of Nuevo Laredo. She is survived by brother Enrique Flores of Laredo, Maria Teresa Flores of San Antonio, Rosa Elva Flores (Juan) of San Antonio, Maria Herlinda F de Rodriguez (Mauricio) of Nuevo Laredo, Enedelia Rangel (Librado) of San Antonio and Dora Elia Ibarra (Andres) of San Antonio.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2020, at Peter's Funeral Home in Cotulla, Texas from 4 to 9 pm, with Rosary at 7 pm.  Funeral mass will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cotulla, Texas at 10 am on Friday, February 21, 2020.  Interment will follow at the Cotulla East Cemetery.
