Maria "Paloma" Garza age 64 passed on to the next great adventure on May 17, 2023. She was born to Beatrice R. Alaniz and Roberto Garza on June 11, 1958. Maria was raised in Moore, Texas by her grandparents Bernardino Alaniz and Adelina R. Alaniz.

She was known for her beautiful personality, unconditional hospitality, amazing cooking, and her loving heart. She lit up any room she walked into and befriended anyone she met. She loved her family very much and always looked on the brighter side of life.

Cherishing her loving memories are her children, Dalia S. Garza and Jonathan (Cameo) Garza; granddaughters, Alloysuss Alaniz Garza, Lanai Juliette Garza, Roselaine Josefine Garza and Xiomara Paloma Antonia Garza; siblings, Juan Medrano, Sonia Barrera, Felipa Garcia and Camelia (Tomas) Garcia. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many many friends. All of whom will remember her by her beautiful smile, high-spirited laughter, strong will and caring soul.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Peters Funeral Home from 8:00a.m. to 9:30a.m. Services will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00a.m. Interment will follow at the Cristo Rey Cemetery.
