Maria A. Zamora passed away on July 2, 2021, at the age of 80. She was born on February 6, 1941, to Mercedes and Pablo Ramirez Sr.

Maria graduated from Lanier High School, and she went on to obtain her beauticians license and owned her own salon, Maria's Beauty Shop. She would later go on to become an LVN and worked for TDCJ for over 20 years, where she eventually retired. Maria was a very humble and giving person, she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Ms. Zamora is preceded in death by her parents; son, Alfredo Zamora III and her siblings, Emma Ramirez, and Alfredo Ramirez.

Ms. Zamora is survived by her children, Tony (Diana) Zamora, Ana Zamora (Billy Alvarado) and Juan Carlos (Myrna) Zamora; grandchildren, Marissa Dominguez, Steven Sartuche, Veronica Juarez, Anatalia Zamora, Tony Zamora Jr., Clarissa Zamora, Juan Carlos Zamora Jr., Samantha Zamora, Alessandra Zamora, and Alejandro Zamora; great grandchildren, Kayla Dominguez, Isabella Dominguez, Jacob Dominguez and her siblings, Pablo (Pat) Ramirez Jr., Robert (Mercedes) Ramirez and Hilda Benavidez.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Peters Funeral Home from 5:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00a.m. Interment will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
