Martin Murphy Snowden of Cotulla passed away on February 2, 2015, at the age of 77. He was born in Alice, TX on April 23, 1937 to Joe (Tony) and Mabel Snowden.
Martin is preceded in death by his parents.
Martin is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Gay Snowden; children, Michael Rodney and wife Christi Snowden, of Adkins, TX, Jeffory Green and wife Jane Snowden, of Frisco, TX, Clinton Murphy and wife Dana Snowden, of Spring Branch, TX, and Cecil Tye and wife Amanda Snowden, of Cotulla, TX; siblings, Patricia Jo Kardell, Mickey Darell and wife Ann Snowden, and Mary Delilla Snowden. Martin is also survived by 9 grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Martin was a graduate of Sul Ross State University and an army veteran. He spent the majority of his life as a rancher in South Texas.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Peters Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at The First Baptist Church of Cotulla, Interment will follow at the Cotulla West Cemetery.
