November 21, 1928 - August 2, 2014

Mauro T. Rodriguez of Encinal, TX passed away on August 2, 2014 at the age of 85. He was born in Austin, TX on November 21, 1928 to Manuel and Sista Trevino Rodriguez.

Mr. Rodriguez is preceded in death by his parents and grandson Francisco Perez

The community is mourning the loss of a great man. Throughout all his travels he knew no strangers only friends. But he will always be remembered as a true friend to everyone he touched.

Mr. Rodriguez was a loving, hardworking and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Surviving is his wife of fifty-two (52) years, Josefina Y. Rodriguez, sons; Mauro (Diana) Rodríguez Jr., Juan M. (Janet) Rodríguez, Santiago Rodríguez, Rodrigo (Lydia) Rodriguez, Armando Rodríguez, and Jose David (Claire) Rodríguez, daughters; Josefina Marz, Patricia (Pete) Hernández, Diana (Eusebio) Rodríguez, Dora Alicia Rodríguez (Victor Gómez), Minerva (Eliseo) Ríos, Maria (Joseph) Mire, Ana Laura (Valentin) Limón, Sandra Elisa (Jason) Ramirez, Linda Aida Rodríguez and Oralia De Los Santos, He was also survived by his  seventy-one (71) grandchildren and twenty-five (25) great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitations for Mr. Rodriguez will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Peters Funeral Home from 4:00 - 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday August 7, 2014 at The Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Encinal, TX at 9:30 am. Interment followed at the Encinal Cemetery.
