Our beloved Nora Rodriguez Ayala, 62, of Cotulla, Texas passed into eternal rest on Saturday, May 30, 2026, surrounded by family. She was born February 18,1964, in Pearsall, Texas to Rogelio and Lilia Medrano Rodriguez. Nora was a lifelong resident of Cotulla.

Nora was preceded in death by her daughter, Karla Marlene Ayala, grandson Jacob Ayala, and her parents: Rogelio and Lilia Rodriguez. She is survived by her husband, Carlos Allala, children: Rogelio Ayala, Rosemary Vargas (Michael), Juan Carlos Ayala, Carlos Ayala, Jr., and stepdaughter: Vanessa Hernandez. She is also survived by her brothers: Raul Rodriguez, Ruben Rodriguez (Teri), and her sister: Esmeralda Gonzalez (Humberto). She is also survived by her grandchildren: Emily Alicia Vargas, Michael Angelo Vargas, Angela Vargas, Rogelio Alexander Ayala, Stephanie Joy Ayala, Lily Paige Ayala, Kaitlyn Brooke Ayala, Ryan Zachary Ayala, Madison Rose Ayala, Javin Andrew Ayala, and Juan Carlos Ayala, Jr., step-grandchildren Riddick Hernandez, and Reaven Rae Hernandez. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Rogelio Ayala, Juan Carlos Ayala, Carlos Ayala, Jr., Rogelio Alexander Ayala, Michael Vargas, Javin, Juan Carlos Ayala, Jr. and Ryan Zachary Ayala.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. Doors will be open to the family at 9am and service will begin at 10am at Peters Funeral Home in Cotulla.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Holy Savior Hospice and Las Palmas Rehabilitation & Nursing Home for the compassionate care shown to our beloved Nora.

Though her physical presence is no longer with us, Nora's faith, love, and warrior spirit remain a lasting gift to all who knew her. "Goodbye is not forever. Goodbye is not the end. It simply means I'll miss you until we meet again."
