Ramiro Maldonado, Sr. of Encinal passed away on April 17, 2013 at the age of 51. He was born on June 6, 1961 in Laredo, TX to Alejandro and Lilia Maldonado.

He is preceded in death by his father, Alejandro Maldonado, Sr.; brother, Hector (Chopper) Javier Maldonado; and sister, Martha Luisa Maldonado.

He is survived by his son, Ramiro Maldonado, Jr. (Olga DelaCruz) of Carrizo Springs; daughter, Erica Nicole Maldonado of Ohio; mother, Lilia G. Maldonado; brothers, Alejandro (Elizabeth) Maldonado, Jr. of Del Rio, Eduardo (Martha) Maldonado, Sr. of San Antonio, Rene (Mireya) Maldonado, Sr. of Encinal, and Marco Antonio Maldonado of Encinal; sisters, Araceli Garcia of Corpus Christi, Melba (Tom) Calderon of San Antonio, and Adriana M. Nieto of Encinal; five grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Peters Funeral Home on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 4:00pm - 9:00pm with a rosary at 7:00pm.

Funeral services will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Encinal on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 11:00am. **

Interment will follow at the Encinal City Cemetery.

**There will be no viewing or procession in Cotulla Saturday morning. Everyone is to meet at church.**
