Refugia "Cuca" R. Garcia passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013. She was born to the late Juan E. and Luz C. Rodriguez on July 27, 1926 in Cotulla, Texas, where she lived her entire life. She was one of nine siblings. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Armando C. Garcia, Sr. Together they worked side by side as generous merchants and civic leaders in their community.

Cuca was also an active member of her parish, Sacred Heart Church, where she sang, evangelized, and donated much of her time, talent and treasures.

Cuca is survived by her 3 children, Dolores Boswell, of Laredo, Texas, Armando "Mico" Garcia, Jr. (Maria del Carmen) of Eagle Pass, Texas and, Lauro "Larry" Garcia (Becky) of San Antonio, Texas; 6 grandchildren, Vanessa M. Lopez, Michael E. Boswell, Jr. (Margaret), Marleni C. Garcia, Armelinda C. Garcia, Laura V. Garcia and Armandina "Mandi" Garcia; two great-grandchildren, Michael E. Boswell, III and Madeleine E. Boswell. She is also survived by her two sisters, Epigmenia R. Ortiz of San Antonio, Texas and Candelaria R. Garcia, of Dilley, Texas.

Visitation will be held at Peters Funeral Home on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Vigil Rosary to be held at 7:00 p.m.  The Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cotulla, Texas at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Cotulla East Cemetery.
