Roel Rodriguez Jr. passed away on January 7, 2019 at the age of 50. He was born on November 30, 1968 to Rosalinda and Roel Rodriguez Sr.

Mr. Rodriguez is preceded in death by his father, Roel Rodriguez Sr. and his grandmother, Guadalupe R. Gonzales.

Mr. Rodriguez is survived by his wife, Yvonne M. Rodriguez; children, Jaime Cubriel Jr., Elida Rodriguez and Eriana Rodriguez; grandson, Jonevan Cubriel; mother, Rosalinda Rodriguez; sister, Rosario Morales; niece, Randi Martinez and great niece, Reyna Martinez.

Mr. Rodriguez attended St. Mary's University where he graduated with a degree in Political Science. He began working at Stockemens National Bank in October, 2007 and became Vice President. He is a member of both the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Liberty Christian Ministry and a past member of the Cotulla Chamber and the Knights of Columbus at the Sacred Heart Church. He served as a CISD School Board member for 18 years and would announce for the Cotulla High School Football team.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Peters Funeral Home from 5:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00p.m.Funeral Services will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church on January, 11, 2019 at 10:00a.m. Inurnment will follow at a later date.
