Pastor Vicente Ruiz Yanez Jr., went to be with the Lord May 12, 2023, at the age of 77. He was born on November 22, 1945, to Vicente and Beatriz (Balderas) Yanez.

Pastor Yanez is preceded in death by his parents, siblings and his first wife/mother of his children, Manuela (Ramos) Yanez and his grandson.

Pastor Yanez is survived by his wife, Antonia Yanez; children, Vicente III (Silvia) Yanez, Beatriz Yanez, Juan Jose Yanez, Norma Alicia Yanez, Maria Elena (Kevin) Martin, and Maria Alicia Yanez. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Pastor Yanez spent 48 years of his life serving the Lord; 35 years preaching the word of God. His favorite bible verse was Mark 16:15 "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.', which he heard from the voice of the lord. He also enjoyed Psalm 100.

He was a devoted husband, a beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He touched many lives and he will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Peters Funeral Home from 4:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00p.m. Services will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023, at the Encinal Community Church (formerly – First Presbyterian Church of Encinal) at 10:00a.m. Interment will follow at the Encinal Cemetery.
