Warren (Rocky) Wimberly
Warren W. (Rocky) Wimberly, Jr., born December 14, 1947 to Warren W. Wimberly, Sr. and Marie Rymal Wimberly, passed away on April 17, 2013 at the age of 65.   He is preceded in death by his wife of nine years, Janet Kerr Wimberly.    He is survived by his daughter, Talore Wimberly; step-daughter, K'Reesa (Jimmy) Coley; grandchildren, Mason Hamilton and Carlisle Coley; and sister, M'Liss Wimberly.

Rocky was a singer and songwriter with the soul of an artist, and was quite a good one.   His songs were recorded by various artists, including Gary P. Nunn.   He later moved back to South Texas to pursue his other passion: hunting.   He worked on several ranches and guided hunts for several years.    He and his brother-in-law, Neal Kerr, were partners in a gate guarding business in LaSalle County, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a contribution be made to the Brush Country Museum or the Cotulla Cemetery Association.

A graveside service will be held for Mr. Wimberly at Cotulla West Cemetery on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 2:30 p.m.
