Winnie Lou Holmes, of Leon Springs, Texas, departed earth on the way to her heavenly reward early Friday morning, April 6, 2018.

Winnie was born on Monday, August 9, 1938, to Glenda and Edgar Kuenstler in Encinal, Texas.

Winnie is survived by her loving husband James W. Holmes, of Leon Springs, Texas; son Jonathan M. Holmes and his wife Sharon Holmes of Alamogordo, New Mexico; son Grady L. Holmes and his wife Jeanene Holmes of Albuquerque, New Mexico; daughter Kymberley Holmes of Leon Springs, Texas; sister Edna L. Harrison of Orlando, Florida; brother Edgar R. Kuenstler and his wife Jeannie Kuenstler of Amarillo, Texas; sister-in-law Rena Kuenstler of Alpine, Texas; brother Harold W. Kuenstler and his wife Linda Kuenstler of Lytle, Texas; sister Donna Kuenstler Maples and her husband Barney Maples of Alpine, Texas; and by many wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren from California to Louisiana who all loved Grandma Winnie.

Winnie was preceded in death by her parents Edgar and Glenda Kuenstler, brother John A. Kuenstler and grandson Devan Alexander Holmes.

A graveside memorial service will be held at the Cotulla Cemetery,  Cotulla, Texas, on Monday, April 23, 2018, at 10:30 AM. A time of fellowship will follow the memorial. We will gather at El Charro Restaurant, at 656 N Baylor Street, Cotulla, Texas.
